Archived recordings

We understand that in today's modern world, it is not always possible to attend the funerals of those we care about - this may be due to living or working interstate or overseas, ill health, disabilities or other committments clashing with the funeral service.

We video record most of the funeral services we attend to and then make them available for those who could not be there on the day.

Private services are not automatically made available unless requested by the family.

The link shown to the right will take you to the archive area. The funeral services are in folders named with the year and then the month that the service was held. Where we produced a service booklet, this may also be available.

It is strongly recommended that you save the relevant recording to your computer and play it from there. The files may take several hours to download depending on your download speed and our upload speed at the time.

The recordings are in "Flash" format. If your computer will not play them, you may like to download the free VLC player at http://www.videolan.org/

The archive is protected by a username and password. Please contact your nearest GFS office for these details and for any other assistance. There is no charge for acessing these archived recordings.

How to obtain higher quality DVD recordings

The archived recordings are of a lower quality to enable easier downloading. If you would like a higher quality DVD set, packaged in an attractive personalised case, please contact your nearest GFS office (pricing below).

*Life Story Photo Presentations are not necessarily produced for every funeral nor is every service recorded.
Some services will not be available because they were private or by family request.
